We kicked off Senior Center Month celebrating "Happier Birthday's Happen Here" yesterday with our first birth-decade themed lunch! Celebrating our members born in the 20s and 30s, we shared some history, watched tap-dance videos of favorites Fred & Ginger, ogled some costume jewelry (always for sale!), got a little silly with prizes at our homemade vending machine (where everyone got "one snack closer to happiness"), and finished things off with a nostalgic dessert...sticky-sweet pineapple upside down cake!
You can play along too by joining us for next-weeks shenanigans as we celebrate members born in the 40s! All members welcome to register for these Tuesday lunch celebrations, regardless of birth year. Remember, menus for the upcoming week are always due by Friday at noon. The Eastern CT Healthy Living Expo is September 16! We will be posting the Top Ten Reasons to attend the Expo on 9/16 from 9:30 until 12:30 at Dodd Stadium! Stay tuned for Reason Number 10!

Dear MSC Members,

🎉Happy Senior Center Month!🎉

We've already kicked off the celebration with our first "birth decade" themed lunch (new decade each Tuesday). We're moving full-steam ahead with a FREE concert 🎵tomorrow (Thursday, 9/3) at 1 p.m., the chorus fall-season meet & greet 🎶 (also tomorrow at 1 p.m.), and the Very-Merry UnBirthday Cafe celebration this Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Don't be late for this very important date (and click that weekly update button to view the menu)!

Reminding all residents and taxpayers that today, August 31 at 4:30 and 5:30 Mansfield will host a public information session to review the three Municipal Facilities Campus concepts under consideration by the Town Council. Join in at Council Chamber at the Audrey P. Beck Municipal Building (Town Hall) for either session. It will be livestreamed, and available for viewing later, too.
