Wow, SEEC just found that the 2024 campaigns of Chris Reddy for State Senate and Aaron Bowman for State Representative violated campaign finance laws in 2024.

Where is Chris Reddy for Ct 29th Senate District?? A week ago, Jadon MacCormack, the endorsed Republican candidate for State Rep. in Mansfield, Brooklyn & Pomfret called for LGBTQIA+ to be put to death! Since then, we have learned he is a Holocaust denier. The entire Republican Party seems to be working to stop this man from being their candidate, but Chris Reddy, who wants to be your State Senator? He is SILENT!

- Ryan Fazio, the Republican candidate for Governor has called for MacCormack to step down. Chris Reddy hasn't said a word.
- Ben Proto, the chair of the Connecticut Republican Party has called for MacCormack to step down.
- Senator Jeff Gordon, the Republican from Eastford, Ashford, Hampton, & Woodstock, the other part of the 50th House District, called for MacCormack to step down. Chris Reddy hasn't said a word.
- Every Republican Town Committee in the area, House Republican Leader State Representative Vincent Candelora, and Republican Party staff have fanned out across the 50th, collecting signatures for a new candidate to force a primary. How MacCormack received the official Republican endorsement when he'd made multiple public statements to this effect before this week is a really, really good question, but at least most Republicans are working to try to fix the situation. At this point, Reddy's silence can only be interpreted as an endorsement of this right wing extremist.

Yesterday, Jadon MacCormack called for LGBTQIA+ people to get the death penalty. Republicans and Democrats across Connecticut are horrified and have called for him to step down. But Chris Reddy for Ct 29th Senate District is silent.

It's nice that Aaron Bowman and Charlie Ausberger "reject the politics of division." HOWEVER: State House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora called for Jadon MacCormack to drop out. State Senate Republican Leader Stephen Harding called for Jadon MacCormack to drop out. But the Mansfield RTC? They're against divisiveness. Here's what you should ask yourself:

Has the MRTC withdrawn its endorsement of Jadon MacCormack? Have the MRTC delegates who voted for him at the nominating convention individually withdrawn their endorsement? ✅
Will the MRTC continue to help Jadon MacCormack raise money for his campaign? 💰
Will the MRTC campaign in Mansfield in the 50th House District for Jadon MacCormack? Will they distribute his lawn signs? 🤝
Does the MRTC support our LGBTQIA+ community and our celebration of pride here in Mansfield? 🏳️‍🌈

Take a stand like George Washington. In 1778, during the Revolutionary War, while serving as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, Washington approved the court-martial and dismissal of Lieutenant Frederick Gotthold Enslin. Enslin was charged with “attempting to commit sodomy.”

As your State Representative, I, Jadon MacCormack, would stand firmly against the Transgender and LGBT movement that has for too long corrupted our families, undermined parental authority, and eroded the foundational values of our society. This ideology promotes confusion over clarity, prioritizes feelings over biological reality, and seeks to redefine the natural order of marriage, family, and human identity in ways that directly contradict God-given rights and common sense.

I will fight relentlessly in the state legislature to protect our children from premature medical interventions, indoctrination in schools, and the normalization of perverse ideologies that threaten the innocence of the next generation.

Don’t forget to show up for Town Meeting TOMORROW at 7pm at the Mansfield Middle School Auditorium to support the Town Budget!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12 is Mansfield's Annual Town Meeting to review and vote on the Town Council's Adopted FY2027 budget for the Town and the Mansfield Board of Education. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM at the Mansfield Middle School auditorium, 205 Spring Hill Rd. A brief overview of the budget will be presented before the meeting is opened up to questions on the budget, then the vote by ballot. Any person who is registered to vote in Mansfield and any citizen of the U.S. age 18 and older who owns property in Mansfield valued at more than $1,000 is eligible to vote.
