Earlier this month, more than 100 Opella volunteers joined us at Benjamin Banneker Academy in East Orange for a day of service! 💛
The day began with a special welcome from students in the auditorium before volunteers got to work transforming spaces throughout the school. Together, they painted colorful murals, built benches and a Little Free Library, assembled picnic tables and garden beds, and planted new greenery. Volunteers also spent time with students leading hands-on STEM and enrichment activities throughout the day.
Thank you to Benjamin Banneker Academy for welcoming us into your school and partnering with us to make this day possible, and to every Opella volunteer for the time, energy, and care you put into supporting their students, teachers, and staff! 🎨🌱
