Atlantic Mobile Health

Atlantic Mobile Health When seconds count, count on us... Atlantic Ambulance boasts a fleet of vehicles designed to transport patients with a wide range of needs.

Mobility Assistance Vehicles (MAVs): For patients that can sit in a wheelchair and do not require assistance during the transport. Basic Life Support (BLS): For patients that cannot sit in a wheelchair unattended for the duration of the transport, and require the care of an EMT. Advanced Life Support (ALS): This service is dispatched after a call has been placed to 911 for a patient that requires

care above and beyond the assistance of an EMT. Two Paramedics staff this type of transport. Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU): For the most acutely ill or injured patients who require the highest level of licensure an ambulance provider can obtain from the NJ Department of Health and senior services (DOHSS). A critical care nurse and two EMTs staff this type of transport, resulting in superior patient care. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): Specialty transport for premature babies and newborns who need to be transferred to a hospital with a neonatal intensive care unit. The NICU truck is equipped with an isolette, and patients are transported with a Physician/Nurse Practitioner and two EMTs. Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU): Specialty transport for children under the age of 18 who need to be transferred to a hospital with a pediatric intensive care unit. Patients are transported with a Physician/Nurse Practitioner and two EMTs. We are proud to offer one of the region's finest helicopter services for scene emergencies and interfacility transport of critically ill or injured patients. A patient flies with a registered nurse and a flight paramedic who provide medical assistance during the flight. For patients who want to be closer to home, we can provide helicopter transportation from New Jersey to medical facilities as far away as Boston or Baltimore. When a patient's life depends on it, and flight is the appropriate method of transportation, Atlantic Air One can bring patients from community hospitals to regional care facilities to receive a higher level of care. Air One's pilots and mechanics are contracted from PHI, a reputable company who has the best safety record in the industry. PHI pilots have flown more hours than any other provider of private helicopters.
