We would like to remind everyone with the time change this weekend, it is the perfect time to change the batteries in your smoke/CO detectors, test them and ensure they are all in date. Working smoke/CO detectors save lives!

Pre-K Visit at LCFD

The LCFD was excited to host Wilbur-McMahon's Pre-K class last Tuesday. Students were able to step into the world of public safety and learn about firefighting apparatus and equipment as well as fire safety fundamentals with the on-duty crew, including a demonstration of firefighting protective gear. And of course, got to meet Grady the fire dog! Thank you for being a great audience.

Reminder! Our Trunk or Treat Event is tomorrow night and the weather looks great! There is still time to signup if you would like to enter your vehicle to participate. Setup begins at 4:30pm and the event starts at 5:30pm to 7:30pm held at Sakonnet Vineyard! We hope to see you all tomorrow night! 🎃👻

Fire Prevention Week - Tip #2

Charge on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or floor. Beds, couches, and pillows can trap heat and block airflow, which can cause a battery to overheat. Always charge devices according to the manufacturer's instructions. For more info: fpw.org.

Use the cord and charger that came with your device or ones approved by the manufacturer. Using the wrong charger can
damage the battery and increase the risk of fire. Throw away damaged chargers.
