onk honk! More geese are here!!!

Lydia the Goose ( #29/32) checked out Elsie’s on the Commons and enjoyed some chocolate chip pancakes and their famous skippy!
Wendy the Goose ( #30/32) has been hanging out with the LC Makers afterschool and is learning how to 3-D print her own geese!

These geese were 3-D printed by Little Compton Makers Inc. and painted by Nancy Westfield and the Friday After School LC Makers students!

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Little Compton Community Center will be hiding 32 3-D printed & painted geese all over the town of Little Compton in honor of our 29th birthday! Keep an eye on our social media for hints so you can find your own goose to keep!

Happy back-to-school season from the LCCC! As schedules transition, we have some exciting program updates to share:

🎬 Children’s Movie Night returns TONIGHT, Friday, September 4th at 5:30 PM! This drop-off event welcomes children aged 5–12 to join us for pizza, drinks, and a movie! Learn more at lccenter.org/cmn
🧸 Infant & Toddler Playgroup has returned! Local families can join us every Tuesday at 10:00 AM with children aged 0–4 for playtime and enrichment. Soft play mats and age-appropriate toys are provided.
🎸 Summer Concert Series has been extended to next Wednesday, September 9th! Join us at 6:00 PM for a free concert featuring 3 Legged Dog. Food will be available for purchase, as well as a b**r and w**e cash bar!
🪕 Strum & String Ukulele Group is back, meeting every other Wednesday at 5:15 PM for beginners and 6:00 PM for advanced players. The next meeting is September 16th!
🤝 Volunteer Information Night: Want to learn more about our various volunteer opportunities and meet fellow volunteers? Then join us on September 17th at 6:00 PM!
🎤 Open Mic Night: Join us on Monday, September 21st at 5:30 PM. Bring your instrument, songs, and love of music to share with like-minded folks & friends!
🧘‍♀️ Harvest Moon Sound Bath with La Lune Healing: Back by popular demand on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available now at lccenter.org/soundbath
📚 Book Club: The next meeting is Monday, September 28th at 6:00 PM.

Shawn the Goose ( #29/32) went to the Brownell Library to pick up his copy of the LCCC books and bites book for September, “Circe”!

Helen the Goose ( #26/29) went to visit the Little Compton Historical Society to pick up her copy of the new book, Reconnections, A New History of the Sakonnet Wampanoag People!
Diane the Goose ( #27/29) has been brushing up on her pickleball skills at the tennis courts!

Terry the Goose ( #25/29) loves to eat a large cheese pizza and French fries at A-1 Pizza!

Lighthouses on the Lawn Artist Feature: Stephen Remick

“Stephen Remick, president of South Coast Artists, was born and raised in Vermont. He earned a BFA in Painting at Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA, where he met his wife, artist, Anne Carrozza. They raised two children while Steve owned a painting and paperhanging company. He mostly paints landscapes influenced by their inhabitants. Winter used to dominate but other seasons are catching up, including plein air painting, as well as abstracts and self portraits. Steve’s paintings are in private collections throughout the US and abroad, and locally at Four Corners Gallery in Tiverton, RI.”
