A big thank you to Linn-Benton Community College’s Heavy Equipment/Diesel Technology campus (Advanced Transportation Technology Center) for hosting Lebanon Fire District members this week for vehicle extrication training!

Congratulations to past Lebanon Fire District Board Member Brian Vorderstrasse on his induction into the Bud & Dorothy Page Lebanon High School Alumni Hall of Fame!

Brian (LHS Class of 1976) is being recognized for a lifetime of humanitarian service. From leadership roles in high school, to his service in the U.S. Navy (including work as a C-130 mechanic and para-rescue support in Antarctica following the 1979 Mount Erebus tragedy), to a distinguished career as a firefighter and lieutenant with the Albany Fire Department, and his service on the Lebanon Fire District Board, Brian has consistently answered the call to serve others.

We are proud to call him one of our own and celebrate this well-deserved honor. Thank you, Brian, for your continued dedication to community, country, and the fire service.

🎃 Come see Lebanon Fire District at Downtown Trick-or-Treat!

Join us on Saturday, October 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a fun-filled Halloween celebration in downtown Lebanon!

Lebanon Fire District will be there to join in the festivities and help make Halloween fun and safe for our community. Bring the kids, wear your costumes, and stop by to see us while enjoying downtown trick-or-treating!

During the October 11 structure fire on E. Maple Street, Lebanon Fire District crews performed roof ventilation to help remove heat and smoke from the structure while other firefighters worked to control the fire.

Roof ventilation is one of the many tactics firefighters use during structure fires to improve conditions inside the building and support interior firefighting operations.

Thank you to all the crews who worked together during this incident.
