The Linn County Fire Defense Board has lifted the countywide burn ban for recreational and agricultural burning.
However, debris burning, including burn barrels and debris piles, remains prohibited throughout Linn County.
If you live within the Oregon Department of Forestry Fire Protection area, please check with ODF South Cascade District – Sweet Home Unit for current fire restrictions.
Even with the burn ban lifted for recreational and agricultural burning, please remain vigilant when burning. Conditions can change quickly. Keep water nearby, never leave a fire unattended, and make sure your fire is completely out before leaving the area.
