🍕☀️SRP Lunch on the Lawn Update ☀️🍕

Late last week, we were informed that Lapeer Community Schools would not be able to provide food at our deAngeli branch's Lunch on the Lawn this year as originally planned. After disscusion with our staff, we've decided to continue providing pizza for the rest of the Lunch on the Lawn dates with funding help from the Friends of the deAngeli Branch Library.

In the past two weeks at Lunch on the Lawn, it's become even more apparent how necessary this lunch is for our community and we want to follow through with our promise of providing a hot meal to kids this summer.

As a reminder, if pizza isn't your favorite, families are always welcome to bring a lunch or snacks of their choice to enjoy during Lunch on the Lawn.

A huge thank you to the Friends of the deAngeli Branch Library for helping to feed our community this summer and for continuing to provide funds for so much of our SRP programming.

The Friends of the deAngeli Branch Library will host a mini book sale this Friday, June 19 & Saturday, June 20 at the Lapeer Center for Innovation, previously Lapeer West High School.

Plastic bags not supplied, please bring your own bags. Cash, check or credit accepted.

Hello Lapeer and surrounding communities!

The Lapeer Food Truck Festival is TODAY! ☀️ It's a beautiful sunny day, so forget about cooking dinner and come enjoy food from 14 amazing food trucks offering a wide variety of delicious options.

There will be plenty of fun for the whole family:

🍔 14 Food Trucks with something for everyone
🎨 FREE kids' crafts provided by the Lapeer Library and Lapeer 4-H under the pavilion

🚗 The Car Show is happening just a few steps away on Nepessing Street

🚨 SRP KICKOFF NEW LOCATION 🚨

Due to the expected rain today and tomorrow morning, our SRP Kickoff Party will now take place tomorrow, Saturday, June 6 at the Mott Community College campus!

All activities will still take place, including Joel Tacey's Jurassic Magic Show beginning at 3 PM.

We are so thankful to have MCC as a community partner to allow us to use their location. There is some parking lot constructions at Mott, but there will be signs directing everyone towards the party.
