🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the Stars and Stripes — a symbol of freedom, unity, and the sacrifices made by generations of Americans who have defended our nation.

On Flag Day, we honor the values our flag represents and remember the brave service members, Veterans, and families who have helped preserve those freedoms.

Take a moment today to proudly display the American flag, learn about its history, and reflect on the ideals that bring us together as a nation.

From all of us at Lapeer County Veteran Services, we wish you a meaningful and patriotic Flag Day.

🇺🇸 Honoring the Women Who Serve and the Legacy They’ve Built 🇺🇸

Today, on National Women Veterans Recognition Day, we proudly recognize the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the millions of women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

June 12 also marks the anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act of 1948, a historic law that granted women the right to serve as permanent members of the U.S. military. This milestone helped pave the way for generations of women to answer the call to serve our nation.

From World War II to today’s military missions around the globe, women have strengthened our Armed Forces through their leadership, resilience, and commitment to duty.

To all women veterans—past and present—thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your continued impact on our freedom and communities.

❤️🤍💙 We honor your legacy.
❤️🤍💙 We celebrate your achievements.
❤️🤍💙 We thank you for your service.
