Wexford Montessori Academy Wexford Montessori is a true rarity in the Lansing area. It provides authentic Montessori education from experienced staff without charging tuition.

Montessori classrooms are multi-age within a three-year range. Just as all children develop physically at different rates, they also develop cognitively and emotionally at different rates. By mixing the age groups within the three-year range, the children are able to learn at their own pace and challenge themselves. Additionally, the mixed age fosters self-directed learning, independence and a str

ong sense of community. Children are encouraged to help one another thereby reinforcing their own knowledge and skills. The school is divided into four age groups:
• The Children’s House for students aged 4 to 6 (pre-K and Kindergarten)
• Elementary 1 for students aged 6 to 9 (First through Third grade)
• Elementary 2 for students aged 9 to 12 (Fourth through Sixth grade)
• Middle School for students aged 13 to 14 (Seventh and Eighth grade)

Wexford Montessori Academy will utilize the Montessori methods while ensuring mastery of all State of Michigan learning outcomes by our students. Wexford students will be inspired learners who reach their full potential academically, creatively, emotionally and physically.
