EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS TRAINING SEPTEMBER 23 IN QUEENSBURY

Warren County Office of Emergency Services and Southern Adirondack Independent Living - SAIL are teaming up for a FREE emergency preparedness training in September.

Emergency Services staff will serve as instructors at the event Wednesday, September 23 at Queensbury Activities Center, 742 Bay Road, starting at 11 a.m. These trainings generally take about 2 hours.

Participants will receive emergency kits, and SAIL will be providing specialized kits for those with disabilities and older residents.

Registration is required. Call SAIL at 518-792-3537, Option 5 or log on to sailhelps.org/preparedness.

Join us for a hands-on herb-growing workshop where we’ll assemble our own at-home herb-growing kits together! Each attendee will leave with a kit featuring 8 herbs to grow and enjoy at home, along with the supplies to get started. This program is free and open to all ages. 🪴🌈

Our annual FREE community shred event is coming up on Saturday 26th from 9-11:00 am at Aviation Mall. Bring your documents to be shredded on site in the parking lot at the mall. Just look for the Confidata truck 🚚

We are also collecting non-perishable food items, and hygiene products, for our nonprofit partner: Glens Falls Area Youth Center
