The Walker County Health Department recently hosted its 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event at the health department, Tuesday, October 7th. The health department partnered with the CHI Memorial Mammography Bus to provide on-site screening mammograms. As a result, 22 individuals received screening mammograms. "We want to thank our amazing community partners who provided wonderful donations for our donor prizes," said Health Department Nurse Manager Danielle Acuff, " as well as to Jackie Ernst and Vonda Williamson with the CHI Memorial Mammography Bus. Our event was successful because of each of you! We greatly appreciate all of you!"
