Look out below! The Outpost is rappelling THIS WEEKEND! Join our beginner-friendly rappelling program for only $10/person! Spice up your weekend with over 40 feet of exposure, supported with all the needed equipment and professional guiding.

Spots are limited! Call the Outpost to get on the list (706-639-1589). Registration closes Friday at 7:00pm; don't miss out!

Just ~15 minutes from the Outpost, meet us there and we will get you outfitted, go through ground school, and provide an experience that you will be telling your friends about (unless you invite them to join you...). Full list of details will be emailed upon registration!

Tomorrow! Beat the midday heat with the Outpost's Stretch & Step program. FREE to attend and open to all abilities! Meet at the large pavilion at Traverse Park at 8AM. We will start with some light stretching, then we will get some steps in, followed up with light stretching to finish out the program. Want to make new friends, get on a healthy routine, and get your steps in first thing in the morning? This one is for you.

This week at the Outpost! Rock Tots registration closes at 7pm tonight! Get your little one on the wall! Perfect for ages 3-6. $10/climber!

Stretch and Step this Thursday! This program brings the early day energy from people who are consistently showing up, showing out, and making friends along the way. FREE! Meet up at 8am at Traverse Park!

Homeschool Highpoint is this Thursday and spaces are limited but still open! Reminder that every week we alternate the program focus - this week we will be tree climbing! Registration required before 7pm on Wednesday.

This weekend we are rappelling! $10/person; program from 3pm - 8pm. Limited spots available and you must call the Outpost to sign up for our offsite trips. Transportation is not provided; meet us there! Location is approx. 15 minutes from the Outpost (detailed information will be emailed Friday night). Registration ends Friday at 7pm!

The wait is over...get your friends, coworkers, family or your favorite volleyball crew together, and get ready to serve it up! Team Registration begins September 14th, so start building your squad! Teams should have at least 3 female players on the roster as this is a co-ed league and teams are required to play with at least 3 female players. For more information, call Christy at 706-639-1590 or email [email protected]. Registration deadline is 10/24/26. Season begins 11/6/26. Teams will play a minimum of 8 games with an end of season tournament-date tbd.

Class is in session! (well, kind of...) AP Outside is open for enrollment. For the Walker County Schools Teacher Inservice day coming up on Friday, September 25th, the Outpost is hosting a day of outdoor recreation opportunities! Guided climbs at Traverse Park, slacklining, and FREE gear rentals from 9am - 7pm. The perfect "class" for students to get outside and enjoy a school-free Friday!

Another round of ROCK TOTS next week! Join the Outpost crew on Tuesday, September 15th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm to give the Traverse Park climbing tower everything you've got! Have little ones who climb everything in the house and can't get enough? It's time to up their game in a big way.

Woah its HOT! Someone turned the heat on and forgot to cut it off. Well we've got good news - the Outpost has added two public caving trips close to home this month that are perfect for cooling things off and spicing up your sense of adventure! Gear & guiding provided!

We will also be offering an evening rappelling outing that is perfect for beginners. Hopefully these temperatures join the trip and drop a few degrees....gear & guiding provided!

Students! Walker Schools teacher Inservice day is the 25th and we've added some programming opportunities specifically for you for only $5 (or even free)! Join our "AP Outside" program for guided climbs, free gear rentals, and free access to our slackline station coming to you soon!
