San Diego County Library is kicking off Summer at Your Library, running from June 1 to August 31.

Our website, sdcl.org/summer will be the go-to spot for Summer Learning. You’ll find the 2026 Summer Learning challenge, events, curated booklists, eBooks of the Month and summer meal programs.

Join the Summer Learning Challenge! Register online through Beanstack or stop by any SDCL branch. Download a learning log to keep track of your progress. Complete 10 books, reading hours and activities by August 31.

Once you've completed the challenge, visit any of our 33 branches to pick up your well-deserved prizes! The SDCL Summer Challenge is open to all ages and abilities, and learning logs are available online in nine different languages.

The 2026 San Diego County Fair invites fairgoers of all ages to explore the world of books through educational exhibits, hands-on exploration, and community engagement. Visit the KPBS exhibit to explore the One Book, One San Diego program, San Diego Book Festival, and celebrate KPBS' commitment to storytelling in San Diego for 65 years. Plus, enjoy a special meet-and-greet with PBS Kids’ beloved character, Arthur, as well as story times and a book giveaway!*
