Redmond Road, just across the street from the Pathfinders Complex. The Department has an authorized personnel compliment of sixty-five fire fighters and one administrative assistant.

🔥 ARKANSAS WILDFIRE DANGER — BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥

WE DESPERATELY NEED RAIN! With conditions this dry, even a single spark can quickly ignite a wildfire, threatening homes, property, lives, and our firefighters.

🚫 NO OPEN BURNING WITHIN THE JACKSONVILLE CITY LIMITS. Burning yard waste, trash, rubbish, or using burn barrels is prohibited inside the City Limits of Jacksonville by City Ordinance. Violations may result in fines.
The attached Arkansas map shows the counties under burn bans as of October 26, 2026. Please check your county’s current restrictions and follow all applicable burn-ban orders. Do not assume burning is permitted simply because an area is not marked on this map.
⚠️ HELP PREVENT WILDFIRES:

* Never throw lit ci******es or cigarette butts from vehicle windows.
* Make sure vehicle chains, metal parts, and trailer equipment are secured and do not drag on the pavement, creating dangerous sparks.
* Avoid any activity that could produce sparks near dry grass, leaves, brush, or wooded areas.
* Follow all local fire restrictions and burn-ban orders.

Under these extremely dry conditions, a small spark can become a fast-moving, destructive fire in minutes. One careless decision can put an entire neighborhood at risk and endanger the lives of those who respond to protect our communities.

Please do your part. Stay informed, follow the burn ban, and help keep our communities safe until we get the rain we desperately need!

Risk Level Definitions
Risk levels are determined by fuel conditions, drought status, and long-term weather forecasts. They are categorized by how easily fires can start and how hard they are to contain. The risk level definitions are:

Low: Fuels do not ignite easily. Weather conditions will lead to slow spread and relatively easy to control fires.
Moderate: Fire can start from accidental causes. May not become serious, but caution should be taken.
High: Fires ignite easily and spread quickly. Unattended brush fires and campfires are likely to escape. Fires may become serious if not attacked early.
Extreme: Fires start quickly, spread furiously, and burn intensely. Every fire started has the potential to become large. Expect extreme, erratic behavior.

I-57 information near the Hwy 5 exit in Cabot (just North of Jacksonville)
