We will never forget the lives that were lost during the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93 twenty-five years ago.

Today, we pause to reflect, remember and honor the fallen and the heroes who answered the call. We will always remember. 🇺🇸

Foster an animal, save two lives. 🐶❤️ Jacksonville Animal Services is in need of foster homes for dogs and puppies currently at the shelter. By opening your home to be a foster home, you make space for another animal to enter the shelter and receive the care they need as they wait for their forever home.

Learn more about fostering by messaging JAS today!

🚨 We need fosters—now more than ever. 🚨

Our shelter is beyond capacity, and we are out of space to safely take in more animals. That means every single foster home opened quite literally saves a life.

Right now, we have dogs and puppies waiting in kennels longer than they should, getting overlooked simply because there isn’t room to give them the attention they deserve. Fostering gives them a break from the stress of the shelter and helps us learn more about their personalities—making them even more adoptable.

Here’s the reality:
If we don’t have fosters, we can’t say “yes” to the next animal in need.

What fostering looks like:
🐾 Temporary—days, weeks, or longer (you choose!)
🐾 We provide supplies and support
🐾 You provide a safe place and love
🐾 You are the bridge between homeless and forever home

Whether you can take a playful puppy, a shy dog who just needs a quiet place, or a medical case that needs rest—you make the difference.

Even one open home can change everything.

💌 If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign. Please message us or apply today.
