🏦 TRUE Community Credit Union came in to teach our middle schoolers some financial lessons on budgeting today. It’s a great way to show kids how important math is and how to apply it in the real world. 🏦

⚾ Step Up to the Plate This Summer! ⚾

Join Coach Shanear Trice for the Al Glick Baseball Camp at the Al Glick Community Baseball Field at Jackson High School!

This three-day camp is a great opportunity for young athletes to develop their baseball skills, build confidence, and have fun on the field with experienced coaching.

July 27, July 28, & July 29

📍 Location:
Al Glick Community Baseball Field at Jackson High School

💲 Cost:
• $20 for students who attend/live in the JPS District
• $25 for students outside the JPS District

⏰ Camp Times:
⚾ Ages 7-9: 10:00–11:15 a.m.
⚾ Ages 10-12: 11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.
⚾ Middle School: 1:00–2:15 p.m.

Whether your child is new to the game or looking to sharpen their skills, this camp offers a fun and supportive environment to learn and grow.

🏈 Register now for the 2026 Al Glick Youth Football Camp!

Join us for the 7th Annual Al Glick Youth Football Camp on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Dungy Field at Withington Stadium.

📍 Location: Jackson High School, 544 Wildwood Ave., Jackson, Michigan
💲 Camp Tuition: $15 per camper
👦 Who Can Attend: Jackson County students entering 4th–9th grade in Fall 2026

Camp Details:
🕘 9:00 AM – Check-in begins
🕙 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Camp
🍽 1:00 PM – Lunch & ice cream

All campers will receive:
✔️ T-shirt
✔️ Sports pack
✔️ Water bottle
✔️ Breakfast
✔️ Lunch

Campers will also enjoy non-contact instruction from current high school coaches, former collegiate, and professional players.

🚨Attention JPS🧡🖤🚨

Meet Up and Eat Up🍎🥪

☀️Summer meals for children 18 and younger start tomorrow, June 15th, across the Jackson area‼️ There are school, park, and apartments sites, as well as our mobile van traveling around to a few areas.

🥯Breakfast sites will be serving from 8:30am-9:30am with the exception of Isaiah’s Hub serving from 9:30-10:30am

🏫Majority of school sites serve lunch from 12-12:45pm, whereas the majority of park/apt sites serve from 11:30am-12:30pm.

🚐The mobile van will start at Nixon Park starting at 10:30, then(in order) traveling to Blair Park Apts, Foxfire Apts, and Worker’s Memorial Park. A second service will be from 3-3:30pm at Nixon Park as well.

🚨Please read the flyer below for ALL information regarding sites, service times, and locations‼️
-children must be present to receive a meal
-ALL food must be eaten on site.
-ALL sites closed June 19th and July 3rd

During summer school at Parkside we are implementing some SEL into our day. This week we are focusing on our Viking Value of Being Respectful and our classroom agreement of working together. The kids did amazing at this today, persevering and stepping up to the challenge. Great job! 🧡🖤
