JPS Food Service Food sustains us all. We all need great food to carry us through the day. We provide breakfast and lunch daily at all of Jackson Public School’s facilities

Nutrition Services at Jackson Public Schools is based at the Operations Center across from Hunt Elementary. It is our mission to have well-trained staff members dedicated to fully satisfying all our customers in a safe and friendly atmosphere achieving higher than the national average participation by students in our meal programs requiring the essential help of parents and community, administrato

rs and other staff members. We are committed to educate and model to others proper nutrition, which helps students succeed physically and academically.

Tomorrow, November 20th, at all JPS Elementary schools, we will be serving the students and staff our Thanksgiving feast😋🙌. Roasted turkey and gravy is the main entree, along with several side dishes to choose from and to top off the meal they will be having pumpkin bars for dessert. This past week JPS celebrated Michigan Apple Crunch throughout the district🍎🍏☺️. The students at Dibble Elementary enjoyed Granny Smith, Gala, and Red Delicious apples that were locally grown at Gee Farms in Stockbridge, MI.

We will be celebrating Michigan Apple Crunch Day at JPS tomorrow, October 14th, across the district. Apple Crunch Day is a way to highlight the importance of healthy eating and encourages us to support local agriculture through farm to school programs. Our apples were purchased from Gee Farms in Stockbridge. Take a look at some of the facts below about apples and we hope you enjoy the “crunch” of fall!
