November 1st begins International Stress Awareness Week

Between classes, studying, and extracurricular schedules, stress is a natural part of life—-but it doesn’t have to take over. This week, we are focusing on healthy ways to pause, breathe, and reset.

Here are 3 quick ways to manage stress today:

-Take a 5-minute tech break: Step away from the screens and stretch.

-Practice box breathing: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4.

-Reach out to a professional: Remember, you have an incredible support system here on campus.

Students can visit their assigned school counselor or connect with Mental Health Counselors during school hours.

Tonight’s matchup: HOOVER City Schools 🧡🖤

The Bucs brought the spirit this morning as we got ready for tonight’s matchup against Spain Park!

While (most of) our students were away, our teachers were hard at work learning and growing at Hoover High School! 🧡🖤

We kicked off our professional development day with a student panel that shared meaningful feedback, valuable perspectives, and insight into their experiences at HHS. What better way to continue improving than by hearing directly from the students we serve?

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and continue finding ways to make Hoover High School the best it can be!

October is National Principals Month, and we couldn’t be happier that Dr. Sayers is ours! 🧡🖤

She embodies our core values of respect, responsibility, and integrity and leads our school with passion, purpose, and a heart for our students and staff.

We are so grateful for her leadership, dedication, and the countless ways she makes Hoover High School a better place every day!

Thank you for all you do, Dr. Sayers! 🏴‍☠️🧡
