A little information about how our community library is funded. Honey Brook Community Library is a 501c3 non-profit.

We are part of the Chester County Library System, but not a county library.

Our service area consists of all of Honey Brook Twp and Borough. We service HALF of West Nantmeal and West Caln. The money for those 2 areas are shared with other CCLS libraries.

40% of our funding comes from State, County, and Local municipalities.
60% of our budget comes from fundraising by our Board of Directors and public donations.

Honey Brook Twp contributes to 16% of our overall operating budget, and we are greatly thankful for the partnership that we have developed over the years.
If Honey Brook Township took over the running of our non-profit community library, it would cost them approximately $473,000 per year, as the average to run a municipal library is $53.86 per resident in local government money.
If anyone would like more details on how the Honey Brook Community Library is funded, please email or call to make an appointment with the director at 610-273-3303 or email [email protected]. We would be happy to explain our operating budget in person at any time.
