Experiencing Literacy in different ways, and learning about Community Helpers are part of educating young children, and last week KinderRHAMa students were able to enjoy both with special visitors to the classroom! Teacher Heather Holbrook arranged for Kristine Stone, author of The Little Maple Leaf of Hebron, to visit our classroom. Ms. Stone read her book to the children and even brought pumpkins for the class! Thank you so much to Ms. Stone! We were also fortunate to have the Hebron Fire Department visit, talk about fire safety, show the children the ambulance and the fire truck, and give them the opportunity to climb on the vehicles! Thank you very much for your time, Hebron Fire Fighters!! Children had fun in KinderRHAMa Preschool Camp this summer!! In late July we had a week with the theme of Olympics, which included trying different sports and talking about athletes and team spirit. Our last week had a food theme, and children had the chance to make different recipes and then sample them!
Thank you to all the children who participated and to our wonderful teens who helped out this summer! Andover Hebron Marlborough Youth Services

We had a good time today at the Family Resource Center Forest Fun group! Children went on a nature walk, collected interesting objects along the way, and saw many different types of trees, insects, flowers, and mushrooms! Afterwards, they enjoyed some different nature activities and listened to a story that Ms. Ashlee read about bugs. There was a lot to see and learn about outside!
