🚌 New Bus Barn Facility

Hearne ISD is excited to announce that construction is about to begin on the new Bus Barn, an important project approved by voters through the Hearne ISD Bond.

Location: Woodfield

As part of this project, the existing practice field at the Woodfield location will be repurposed to accommodate construction of the new Bus Barn facility.

We understand that construction projects can bring changes to our campuses and community spaces, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as this important work gets underway. The new Bus Barn will provide Hearne ISD with an improved facility to support the district’s transportation operations and better serve our students and staff.

🚌 Nueva instalación de depósito de autobuses

Hearne ISD se complace en anunciar que está por comenzar la construcción del nuevo depósito de autobuses, un proyecto importante aprobado por los votantes a través de la emisión de bonos de Hearne ISD.

Ubicación: Woodfield

Como parte de este proyecto, el campo de prácticas existente en la sede de Woodfield se adaptará para dar cabida a la construcción de la nueva instalación del depósito de autobuses.

Entendemos que los proyectos de construcción pueden conllevar cambios en nuestros planteles y espacios comunitarios, y agradecemos la paciencia y comprensión de todos mientras se llevan a cabo estas importantes obras. El nuevo depósito de autobuses proporcionará a Hearne ISD una instalación mejorada para apoyar las operaciones de transporte del distrito y brindar un mejor servicio a nuestros estudiantes y al personal.

Hearne ISD has ended the shelter-in-place that was initiated earlier today following the incident at the GATX site.

All students and staff remained safe throughout the situation, and there was no direct threat to any district campus. Normal school activities will continue for the remainder of the day.

We sincerely thank our local law enforcement agencies, first responders, and emergency personnel for their quick response, communication, and continued commitment to keeping our community safe. We also appreciate the patience and cooperation of our students, staff, families, and community while the situation was assessed.

Hearne ISD families and staff, we want to share an important update with you as we prepare for the new school year. The district’s ACE 21st Century After‑School Program has officially ended, as our grant cycle has now closed.

While this program will not continue, our commitment to supporting students beyond the regular school day still remains strong. Each campus is working to finalize their Fall 2026 Tutorial Schedule, and we will communicate those details to all parents later in August so that families can plan accordingly.

We are looking forward to seeing all students on the first day of school on August 12, 2026 at regular times. Thank you for your continued partnership and for supporting our students as we begin a great new school year together!

Familias y personal de Hearne ISD: queremos compartir con ustedes una información importante mientras nos preparamos para el nuevo año escolar. El programa extracurricular ACE "21st Century" del distrito ha finalizado oficialmente, ya que el ciclo de la subvención ha concluido.

Aunque este programa no continuará, nuestro compromiso de apoyar a los estudiantes más allá del horario escolar habitual sigue firme. Cada escuela está trabajando para finalizar su calendario de tutorías para el otoño de 2026, y comunicaremos los detalles a todos los padres más adelante en agosto para que las familias puedan organizarse.

Esperamos ver a todos los estudiantes el primer día de clases, el 12 de agosto de 2026, en el horario habitual. ¡Gracias por su colaboración continua y por apoyar a nuestros estudiantes al comenzar juntos un excelente año escolar!
