Hello Hillview Crest Families,

You should be so proud of your Husky for doing their best during today's Husky Hustle. Our kids walked, jogged, and ran the grassy field the entire time.

The fun isn't quite done yet. Next week is our Red Ribbon Spirit Week. That means we are celebrating how awesome it is to keep our bodies and minds healthy and strong.

The Board of Education-initiated renaming process for Cesar Chavez Middle School is moving forward. Next week, the Board will hold a special meeting to hear from the community. The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in the CCMS Gymnasium. The meeting is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. During the meeting, the Facility Names Committee will provide a progress update, and then members of the public may share their thoughts with the Board.

The renaming of CCMS has generated a lot of interest in our community, and a lot of information has been circulating on social media. In some cases, it may look like the information is coming from New Haven Unified. The district does not monitor or control what is shared on social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook.
