The FCDA's Fayette Works Expo brings Fayette County 8th graders face-to-face with professionals in careers they may never have considered. We want them to see what's possible right here at home.

We also offer no-cost training for our legacy businesses, because the workforce already here deserves investment too.

The FCDA is proud to announce a $300,000 Partners in Success Grant award to the City of Fayetteville in support of the Fayetteville Visitor Center.

This investment will help establish a welcoming destination experience in the heart of Fayetteville — a hub for tourism, local commerce, and community engagement that reflects the city's growing identity as a place people want to visit, explore, and stay.

When we invest in the places that draw people in, we invest in the businesses and residents who call Fayette County home. Congratulations, City of Fayetteville!

The FCDA is proud to award $300,000 to the Town of Woolsey to continue the restoration of the Historic Woolsey Church, a beloved landmark that first opened its doors in 1889.

Once restored, this beautiful space will serve as a Community and Cultural Center for generations to come. We've loved watching this vision take shape, and we're honored to help carry it forward.

This is the second round of Partners in Success funding for this project, and the progress has been inspiring to watch. We're proud to see it through.

Congratulations, Town of Woolsey! Friends of Historic Woolsey

What should our community look like in 20 years, and have you shared your perspective?

Fayette County, the City of Fayetteville, and the Town of Tyrone are all currently updating their comprehensive plans, creating opportunities for residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to help shape long-term priorities.

These plans guide decisions about land use, infrastructure, economic development, parks, and community investment. Broad participation helps local leaders understand what people value, what challenges need attention, and where opportunities exist.

The Fayette County Development Authority encourages you to participate:

• Fayette County: Attend the Comprehensive Plan Visioning Fair on October 27, 5:30–7:30 p.m., at the Fayette County Health Department. Details: https://www.fayettecountyga.gov/news_detail_T2_R264.php
• Fayetteville: Complete the visioning survey by November 30: https://www.fayetteville-ga.gov/ImagineFayetteville
• Tyrone: Complete the community survey by December 11: https://www.tyronega.gov/compplan27

Peachtree City is also preparing its 2027 Comprehensive Plan update, with public participation opportunities to watch for as the process progresses.

Manufacturing Week continues in Fayette County!

Manufacturing may not always be the most visible part of our local economy, but the companies that make, build and produce here are an important part of Fayette County’s business community.

They provide careers across a wide range of skill levels, invest in people and technology, support other local businesses, and help strengthen our community.

This week, we’re proud to recognize the manufacturers that call Fayette County home and the people behind the work they do every day.

Thank you for investing, employing and growing here.

It’s National Manufacturing Week, and we’re starting with one of Fayette County’s longtime manufacturers.

Hoshizaki America, headquartered in Peachtree City, recently completed a 120,000-square-foot warehouse expansion next to its existing facility on Highway 74. The project adds warehouse capacity on-site and supports the company’s continued operations in Fayette County.

A great local company to recognize this week.
