War Memorial Civic Center Our venue has multiple event spaces available for rental. Velmer Smith. The War Memorial Civic Center (WMCC) is home to many WWII artifacts.

Our historic facility has a self-guided War Room Museum, a collection of World War II memorabilia items donated by Mrs. If you're trying to reach the Veterans Affairs Office, please call 337-463-7305 or email [email protected]. The WMCC houses the Beauregard Parish Office for the Louisiana State Department of Veteran Affairs Office. R

ooms are available to rent for your event and the capacities range from 50 to 275 people. Please stop by and visit the next time you are in DeRidder.

The Gun Room is only available for guided tours Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 3 PM.

Visitors are invited to explore the room's weapons, and library that help tell the story of our rich military history.

The Norden bombsight was a highly classified World War II bombing device used by U.S. bomber crews to help drop bombs more accurately from high altitude.

It was developed by Carl L. Norden and used by the U.S. Army Air Forces and Navy. The Norden Bombsight was especially important in the U.S. daylight bombing campaign during WWII.

This one is located in our lobby. Stop by and see it for yourself.

🇺🇸 HELP US MAKE OUR 5TH ANNUAL PRE-4th OF JULY CELEBRATION A SUCCESS! 🇺🇸

The War Memorial Civic Center is seeking donations and community partners to help support our WMCC 2026 Pre-4th of July 5¢ Coke Float Celebration on June 26.

Every contribution helps us continue honoring our military heritage while supporting upcoming Veteran programs and events throughout the year.

🎆 Donation Levels Available:
⭐ Main Counter – $50
⭐ Soda Fountain – $100
⭐ Old-Fashioned Creamery – $250
⭐ Coke Float – $500

Donors will receive varying levels of recognition, including website acknowledgment, social media recognition, event recognition, logo placement opportunities, and more.

The War Memorial Civic Center is seeking display cases to help preserve, protect, and showcase military and historical artifacts as we continue expanding our exhibits from the Vietnam War to the present day.

If you know of a source for display cases, have one available for donation, or would like to support this effort, please contact us.
