Ages 18+ -Learn how to make and preserve applesauce in this hands-on workshop. We will walk you through the process of selecting safety-tested recipes, canning supplies and equipment, as well as the step-by-step process of water bath canning. Participants will help in the preparation of apples for applesauce and get hands-on experience with filling jars and canning. No previous home food preservation or canning experience is needed - this workshop is great for beginners and experienced canners alike!

Honkatha is the Kannapolis branch's Library Goose On-The-Loose!
Find her hidden somewhere in the library and come to the desk to claim your prize.

Starting nest week, Honkatha will hide somewhere in the Library. Come to the front desk once you find her and earn a small prize!

This is a game for all ages, but primarily for our adult patrons.

Honkatha will always be inside and in public areas, not including the children’s area.
Honkatha will always be visible without having to move or rearrange anything.
Please leave Honkatha where you find her so other people can play.
Each person may claim one prize per week.

All ages | Join us at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center for Touch-a-Truck, presented by Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks and H&H Towing. Explore vehicles and equipment that serve the community and meet the professionals who operate them. A low-sensory period will run from 9-10:30am, wrapping up with the annual helicopter landing between 10:45 and 11am Admission is free; parking is $10 (credit or debit card only).
