Today, we recognize the dedicated men and women who answer the call when their communities need them most.

From firefighters and law enforcement officers to EMS personnel and dispatchers, first responders work tirelessly, often sacrificing time with their own families to be there for someone else's.

The Columbus Fire Department is proud to serve alongside some incredible first responders throughout Columbus and Colorado County. Whether responding to emergencies, training together, or supporting one another through difficult calls, we're reminded that public safety is truly a team effort.

To our fellow first responders, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀. Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed, and we're grateful to stand beside you.

What a great turnout for our annual Community Awareness Event last night! We want to thank everyone who came out and spent the evening with us. We love having the opportunity to connect with our community and share important fire safety information!

👏🏼 A HUGE thank you to our generous sponsors who helped make this event possible! 👏🏼

The Wellness Council & The American Red Cross generously donated fire extinguishers and smoke detectors for our door prizes, helping families take an extra step toward fire safety at home!

R&R Shaved Ice absolutely knocked it out of the park, serving an incredible 183 snow cones in ONE HOUR! 🤯 Even more amazing? They donated every single one! We cannot thank you enough for your generosity, hard work, and continued support of our department and community!

A special thank you to Youth & Family Services for helping organize and coordinate this event and for lending a helping hand throughout the evening! Your time, hard work, and dedication played a big part in making this event a success. We truly appreciate your continued partnership and support! ❤️🚒

Events like this wouldn't be possible without the support of our community, volunteers, and generous sponsors. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the evening a success!

🎨 Congratulations to all of our Fire Prevention Poster Contest winners! We are so proud of the creativity and effort these students put into their posters. Thank you to everyone who participated!
