It’s been a busy day for Colorado County EMS! With an increased call volume across the county, Capt. Brown and Lt. Meitzen stepped up by placing our 5th ambulance in service to help ensure we continue providing timely emergency care to our community.

Thank you to all of our crews for their hard work, dedication, and teamwork on another busy day. We're proud to serve Colorado County, 24/7. 🚑

It was a busy day yesterday for our crews. We’re very proud of them. Not only did they have this call going on at the same time but one medical emergency and two motor vehicle collisions as well! We appreciate the assistance of Garwood Volunteer Fire Department, Lavaca County EMS, Fayette County Emergency Medical Services, Austin County Emergency Medical Service as well, for coming to our county line to respond if needed!

It takes a village, and we’ve got STRONG bonds across county lines!

Colorado County EMS was proud to participate in this year’s Taste of Columbus, a wonderful event that brings our community together while raising money for the Boys & Girls Club of Columbus.

We’re especially proud of Isabel Alvarez and Sydney DuPlant, who represented CCEMS and tied for 2nd Place for Best Dessert with our friends at the Colorado County Sheriff’s Department! 🥈🍰

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support a great cause, spend time with our community, and have a little fun along the way. Congratulations, Isabel and Sydney! 👏💙

Colorado County EMS would like to recognize EMT William Edwards for his professionalism, compassion, and commitment to serving the community beyond the call of duty.

On May 25, 2026, William took the initiative to assist a stranded motorist whose vehicle would not start. Through his willingness to stop, assess the situation, and help get the vehicle running again, he demonstrated the values that define Colorado County EMS—service, compassion, and dedication to the people we serve.

Acts of kindness like this, while not always part of an emergency response, have a lasting impact on our community and reflect positively on our organization.
