Northeast District 4-H Fall Volunteer Leaders Day

4-H volunteers, here’s an upcoming opportunity to learn something new and connect with other 4-H volunteers!

The Northeast District 4-H Fall Volunteer Leaders Day will be held on November 7th at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office.

Two workshops will be offered: Ag in the Classroom and Candle Making

Lunch will be provided, and registration begins at 9:00 AM.

If you’re interested in attending, consider taking advantage of this opportunity for learning, creativity, and connecting with fellow 4-H volunteers!

Congratulations to Tyrrell County 4-H’er Darci Boucher on earning Supreme Reserve Champion Market Lamb at the 2026 NC State Fair!

Darci’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to her livestock projects truly shine through in all she does. She is also an outstanding role model for younger 4-H’ers and aspiring livestock exhibitors, setting a wonderful example of sportsmanship and what it means to work hard toward a goal.

Way to go, Darci! We are so proud of you and this outstanding accomplishment!

On Monday, several Teen Council members, my favorite 4-H volunteer, my dad, and I traveled to Raleigh to decorate a hay bale for the NC State Fair! This was our third year participating in the contest, and we always have such a great time bringing our creativity to life. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to represent Tyrrell County and our 4-H program while sharing a little of what makes our community special with people from all across North Carolina!
