This week, Pioneer RESA had the honor of hosting a School Bookkeepers Job Alike!
We brought together 60 bookkeepers from across our region to discuss their vital roles, collaborate, and share best practices for carrying out their daily responsibilities. School bookkeepers do so much behind the scenes and carry a massive responsibility in keeping our districts running smoothly.

3rd-, 4th-, and 5th-grade teachers from the Gainesville City School District recently came together for a Milestones training led by School-based Coaches Ana Horton and Helen Eakins and Regional Literacy Coach Darlene Doster. Participants actively engaged with writing rubrics, student writing samples, and the peer revision guidance document.

Bridging the gap between education and policy.
This morning, Pioneer RESA hosted an engaging, action-oriented Eggs & Issues breakfast. This interactive roundtable brought local K-12 superintendents and area legislators to the same table to tackle the most pressing challenges facing our schools today.
Thank you to our representatives and superintendents for coming together and making this a highly successful discussion.

🏈 One Team, One Goal! Yesterday, North GLRS touched down in Lumpkin County for an exciting football-themed day of professional development!
Lara Butler (NGLRS Program Specialist) took The Paraprofessional Playbook training to the next level, while NGLRS Director Sandy Walden coached staff on Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) through Co-Teaching.

On Friday, North GLRS hosted the monthly Special Education Directors Collaborative Community meeting at Pioneer RESA. It was a fantastic opportunity for our leaders to connect, share insights, and collaborate to better support our students. We are so grateful for your dedication, hard work, and continuous leadership!

What a valuable day of learning at Pioneer RESA!

Our K–5 educators spent the day exploring practical, research-based strategies from The Megabook of Fluency, along with ready-to-use classroom activities, assessment tools, and resources designed to strengthen accuracy, automaticity, and prosody.

One of the most valuable parts of the day was having the opportunity to learn together, practice strategies, share ideas, and think about how these approaches can immediately transfer into classroom instruction.

Thank you to all of the dedicated educators who invested their time, energy, and expertise in today's learning! When we strengthen instruction, we strengthen opportunities for every student to become a more confident and capable reader.
