Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, causes a cough that can last for weeks or even months. Even though pertussis is rarely fatal, it can be very miserable.

Pertussis symptoms start like a regular cold and instead of starting to feel better after a few days, the cough gets worse.

Tdap vaccine can reduce the severity of your symptoms but you are still contagious. If you have a cough that just won't away, consider asking your healthcare provider if a pertussis test is right for you.

🧹Lighten the chore load for your partner! Mom needs to focus on resting, healing, and nursing.
🥛Anticipate mom’s needs during feeding, like cleaning bottles and breast pumps and bringing her snacks and water!
👶Share baby duties! Make sure to handle non-feeding tasks like diapering and burping while mom rests.
