😭❤️ 140 DAYS LATER… WISTERIA IS HOME! ❤️😭

140 days ago, Wisteria came through our doors after being picked up running loose. We didn’t know where she came from or what her life had looked like before us. What we learned very quickly was that she was one of the sweetest, most loving girls. 🐾

Then came the news we never want to hear — Wisteria was heartworm positive.

Heartworm treatment isn’t quick or easy. It means appointments, painful injections, medication, weeks of restricted activity, and a long road to recovery. But Wisteria took it all in stride, continuing to love everyone she met along the way. ❤️‍🩹

For months, she waited while we got her healthy. And finally, after completing her heartworm treatment, she was ready for the next chapter.

A few weeks ago, someone gave her a chance through foster-to-adopt. 🏡

Foster-to-adopt gives our shelter animals the opportunity to leave the kennel, settle into a real home, and gives their potential family time to make sure it’s the right fit. For Wisteria, that chance changed everything.

Today, her new mom came back and made it OFFICIAL! 🎉

Wisteria is now Freya, and after 140 days in our care, heartworm treatment, recovery, and waiting for someone to choose her…

She has a home.
She has her forever. 🥹❤️

This is why we foster.
This is why we keep fighting for every single one.

♥️🏡 FAWN IS HOME! 🏡♥️

Fawn came to the shelter after she was found on someone’s porch in poor condition. She needed some TLC, good meals, and a safe place to land. It didn’t take long before she started gaining weight, coming out of her shell, and showing us just how sweet of a girl she really is. 🥹🐾

Two weeks ago, her new family came to the shelter for a meet and greet with a different dog… but sometimes the right dog chooses YOU. ♥️

They met Fawn and fell in love!

Fawn went home with them through our foster-to-adopt program, giving everyone a chance to make sure she was the perfect fit in their home.

And today, THEY MADE IT OFFICIAL — FAWN IS ADOPTED! 🎉🐾🏡

From being found in poor condition on a porch to having a family and home of her very own… this is what second chances are all about. ♥️

Thank you to Fawn’s new family for opening your hearts and giving this sweet girl the forever she deserves.

♥️🏡 KARO, NOW KALEE, IS HOME! 🏡♥️

After 199 days in the shelter, Kalee is finally HOME! 🥹🐾

Last week, her new mom came to meet her and spent hours just sitting with her, giving Kalee the time she needed to feel comfortable. Then she took a leap of faith and brought her home for a foster-to-adopt.

And today… THEY MADE IT OFFICIAL! 🎉♥️

199 days of waiting.
199 days of wondering when it would finally be her turn.

And now Kalee has a mom, a home, and a safe place to call her own. 🏡

Thank you to her new mom for taking the time to truly get to know her, for giving her a chance, and for choosing adoption. Sometimes the ones who have waited the longest just need someone willing to sit beside them and say, “I choose you.” 🥹♥️

💥 BOOM BOOM IS READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! 💥

168 days. 💔 That’s how long Boom has been waiting in the shelter… and somehow, this big lug has not had a single person interested in him. We truly don’t understand how!

Boom is only about 1 year old and is seriously one of the MOST dog-friendly dogs you could meet. 🐶❤️ He absolutely loves having canine friends and would be thrilled to have a buddy to play with in his forever home.

Boom has spent way too much of his young life growing up inside a shelter. He deserves a home, a couch, a yard to play in, and a family who thinks he’s just as special as we do. 🏡
