Here are the currently scheduled closures for SH 6 for Nov. 1-6:

✅Sunday, November 1
Northbound mainlanes between Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Harvey Road – Full Closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
All traffic must exit using the Harvey Mitchell Parkway exit ramp and may re-enter the mainlanes using the entrance ramp just south of Harvey Road. Additionally, the northbound entrance ramps just south of Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Southwest Parkway will be closed.

Southbound mainlanes between Harvey Road and Harvey Mitchell Parkway – Single-lane Closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
The southbound mainlane left lane will be closed for paving operations.

Northbound frontage road between Harvey Road and University Drive – Single-lane Closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
The northbound frontage road left lane will be closed for earthwork operations. Additionally, the northbound University Drive exit ramp and the entrance ramp just south of University Drive will be closed. Frontage road traffic may re-enter the mainlanes just south of Briarcrest Drive.

Northbound mainlanes between Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Harvey Road – Full Closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

✅Friday, November 6
Northbound frontage road between Harvey Road and University Drive – Single-lane Closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
The northbound frontage road left lane will be closed for earthwork operations. Additionally, the northbound University Drive exit ramp and the entrance ramp just south of University Drive will be closed. Drivers may re-enter the mainlanes just south of Briarcrest Drive.

Whether you’re watching from home, your favorite bar or in the stadium, include a sober ride to your next stop as part of the game plan.
And remember, mixing alcohol and THC can make driving exponentially more dangerous. When drivers use them together, they’re 25 times more likely to cause a fatal crash. The best game-day win is making it home safely.

All traffic must exit at the Rock Prairie exit and may re-enter the mainlanes using the entrance ramp south of Harvey Road. Additionally, entrance ramps south of Barron Road, Harvey Mitchell Parkway, and Southwest Parkway will be closed.

Southbound mainlane between Harvey Road and Harvey Mitchell Parkway – Single-lane Closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
The southbound mainlane left lane will be closed for paving in the center median.

Northbound frontage road south of University Drive – Single-lane Closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
The northbound frontage road left lane will be closed for dirt work operations. Additionally, the entrance ramp north of University Drive will be closed.

🚧WASHINGTON COUNTY🚧
TxDOT will begin construction on the SH 105 bridge over Jackson Creek, located approximately halfway between Brenham and Navasota, beginning on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026.

Crews will shift traffic to the north side of the existing bridge while the southern half is removed and replaced. Once work on the southern half is complete, traffic will be shifted and construction will move to the other half of the bridge.

Two lanes of traffic will remain open throughout construction; however, lanes will be narrow through the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use caution and pay close attention to changing traffic conditions.

The approximately $3 million project will fully replace the existing bridge and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. Larry Young Construction is the contractor for the project.
