Happy 29 years work anniversary to our Associate Director Laura!🎊

Laura began her career at the District in the Comm Center as an emergency dispatcher. With the experience and knowledge she gained in the comm center she moved in to an administrative role as Training Coordinator and now Associate Director. Laura helps orchestrate all aspects of our operations behind the scenes here at BC911. She has a wealth of knowledge in public safety and always has the answer to any question! She is a major reason why our agency is so successful and runs so smoothly!

Happy 12 years work anniversary to our Human Resources Coordinator, Ashley! 🫡

Ashley first worked in the Comm Center as a dispatcher and trainer before moving into an administrative role in 2016! Today Ashley keeps all of our personnel very well organized, and is the first bright smiling face you see in our office! She is a well oiled machine, and takes on many jobs! We would be lost without her!

🐾 A PAWS-ITIVE HIGHLIGHT FROM NPSTW! 🐾

Even though National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week has wrapped up, we are still smiling over one of our favorite moments from the celebration.

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to Aggieland Pets With A Purpose for visiting our comm center! Taking a break from the consoles to spend time with such incredible therapy animals was exactly the stress relief our team needed.
The Power of a Paw 🐶

Working in 911 dispatch means handling high-stress situations every single shift. Having these furry ambassadors stop by provided:

A Moment of Calm: A chance to decompress and reset.

Big Smiles: You could feel the energy in the room shift the moment they walked in.

Community Connection: Reminding our dispatchers that the community (and its four-legged residents!) truly cares.

Even though National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week came to a close last week, the appreciation for our team never stops! We’ve officially drawn the names for our appreciation raffle, and it’s the perfect way to wrap up a week dedicated to the “thin gold line.”

Happy National Administrative Professionals Day to two of the absolute best! Today, we are taking a moment to celebrate our Human Resource Coordinator, Ashley, and our Training Coordinator, Halley.
A team is only as strong as its foundation, and these two women work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Whether it’s managing complex hiring and training cycles, supporting our staff, or ensuring our team has the tools they need to grow, their dedication does not go unnoticed.
