Congressional Democrats are expecting the President to reject the results of the midterms. We’re ready to combat his efforts to subvert the will of the people.

Dolores Huerta dedicated her life to fighting for the dignity of working people and ensuring that farmworkers had a voice in the decisions that shaped their lives. As a pioneering labor leader and civil rights advocate, she helped organize farmworkers, lead historic strikes and boycotts, and secure protections that changed the lives of thousands of workers. She also spent decades advocating for women’s rights and immigrant communities.

Huerta’s legacy reminds us that progress depends on people willing to organize, challenge the status quo, and keep fighting for those whose voices too often go unheard. Her words, “Sí, se puede”, “Yes, we can”, remain a powerful call to action for us all.

Election Interference and election influence are two very different things. It’s important that Americans understand that their elections are safe and secure and reflect the will of the voters. But that doesn’t mean you don’t need to be on the look out for disinformation campaigns from our foreign adversaries.

What a fun afternoon with the folks from Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, Southwest Community Health Center, and Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders!

The $2 million in federal funding I secured for this project means that the new clubhouse will also include a Southwest Community Health Center site that will provide primary health, behavioral health, and dental services. Ensuring our kids have safe places to play and access to reliable healthcare should always be a priority and I'm glad I could help make this space a reality.

Donald Trump and his allies have made a habit of siccing their DOJ on political opponents, but they are sinking to new depths with this attack on career intelligence officials Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides. These charges are not only clearly designed to punish dedicated professionals, they also ensure that an already demoralized IC workforce remains afraid of political retribution for working on sensitive issues.

Doubly concerning is that FBI is apparently conducting an ‘ongoing investigation’ into its own Foreign Influence Task Force. Director Patel’s dismantling of FITF made America less safe from foreign influence. National security officials should be able to take on a hard mission without fear that they will be later investigated and prosecuted for doing their jobs.

I've been saying for months that Donald Trump is going to find a way to reject the results of the upcoming elections. Here's the first step: his Justice Department is suing Alaska in an effort to block certification of its Senate election results if the Republican incumbent loses.

Politicians do not get to decide which election results count, and the administration does not get to change the rules when it doesn’t like the outcome.

The Trump administration has preemptively filed a lawsuit seeking to block certification of Alaska’s US Senate election if the Republican incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan loses in the critical contest which could decide the balance of power in the Senate.
