The month will start with a Hispanic Heritage Month Flag March on September 21st at 7 PM at 45 Lyon Terrace in City Council Chambers.

We will be closing out The Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration with a ceremony to highlight artwork created by local residents on October 9th from 5-7 PM at 999 Broad Street (Conference Rooms A, B, & C).

Bridgeport Police Department 🚓👮‍♂️ —

Chief Porter’s After-School Workouts are kicking off this fall!

Chief Roderick Porter and members of the Bridgeport Police Department are teaming up with the Department of Youth Services/Lighthouse Program to bring fitness, healthy habits, and positive choices directly to students throughout Bridgeport.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Chief Porter and various BPD officers will visit a different Lighthouse Program school to work out with students, talk about healthy eating and active lifestyles, and most importantly, have some fun!
