Earlier this week, I joined Governor Ned Lamont, members of the Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus, the Connecticut–Puerto Rico Trade Commission, and Connecticut water authorities to announce a partnership to help address Puerto Rico’s ongoing water crisis.

Proud to be part of this important effort and to strengthen the connection between Connecticut and Puerto Rico.

Last week, I had the opportunity to join Governor Ned Lamont, CT DEEP, and state and local leaders for a tour of Lake Success.

We learned more about the vision for the site’s future, including conservation, public access, wildlife habitat, and renewable energy opportunities.

For Bridgeport, projects like this present an opportunity to strengthen our regional environment, expand recreational opportunities, and create long-term benefits for our residents. When neighboring communities invest in conservation and sustainable development, Bridgeport should be part of the conversation and positioned to benefit as well.

I’m proud to continue advocating for opportunities that improve the quality of life for Bridgeport families while strengthening our entire region.
