Life moves pretty fast!

The first items made their way from the current high school to the new Pamlico County High School. Seeing classrooms, offices, and spaces begin to come together makes it all feel real.

Due to the ongoing move and packing process, sales of previous yearbooks and school memorabilia have now ended. We appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and support as we preserve and prepare these items for the transition to our new school.

However, the 2026 Yearbook is still available for purchase through Jostens.

With the incredible interest surrounding this historic year, we strongly encourage anyone who would like a copy to place their order online as soon as possible. Demand has been exceptionally high, and there is no guarantee that extra copies will be available after distribution.

A Quick Reminder for Sunday’s Last Walk

As we prepare to say goodbye to Pamlico County High School, please remember that this is still an active moving and construction site. You’ll see boxes, equipment, and areas that may look a little jumbled as preparations continue for the transition to our new school.

This event is intentionally low-key - no formal program, no speeches, just a chance to gather together, walk the halls one last time, share memories, take photos, and celebrate the generations of Hurricanes who called this place home.

Please be respectful of posted areas, watch your step, and enjoy this special opportunity to reconnect with classmates, friends, teachers, and neighbors.

Here’s a blast from the past as we approach the Last Walk through PCHS. For many, many years PCHS juniors and seniors drove our school buses! Here’s a photo of the last group of student bus drivers we had - 1988!

Join us Sunday, May 31 from 2:00–4:00 PM for the PCHS Last Walk event as we open the doors one more time to the original Pamlico County High School building before demolition begins.
Previous years’ yearbooks will be available for purchase, alumni-owned food trucks will be on site, and several student groups and classes will also be participating throughout the afternoon.

Please note that due to ongoing construction preparations, some areas of the building may not be accessible during the event. Even so, we wanted to provide our community, alumni, students, and staff with an opportunity to walk the halls, reconnect, and celebrate the memories made inside this historic building.

We hope you’ll join us for one last walk through PCHS. 💛🖤
