Water Disconnection's scheduled for 7/16/2026. Public Service Announcement
Just as a reminder any water bills that are past due and are not paid by the 15th will be subject to disconnection that is scheduled for July 16th. If you have any questions or concerns please contact our office at 252-745-5453 option 1.

Martin Rd Valve Replacement. System Pressure Advisory/Scheduled Water Outage
Martin Rd Valve Replacement
The water consumers of Pamlico County Water System will experience periods of low pressure and outages in the distribution system on Tuesday July 21st, 2026, from 9:00am to 4:00 pm. Water department staff will be replacing a street valve. The following areas are covered under the advisory:
Residents at: MARTIN RD, NAMON RD, ROLAND RD AND WHITEHALL RD.THE INTERSECTION OF DON LEE AND JANIERO RD TO 5131 JANIERO RD AND ANY OTHER ADJACENT ROADS.
Therefore, the Pamlico County Water Department advises that when water is restored consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice and washing hands) or use bottled water.
Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
This office is strongly urging the water consumers to conserve water whenever possible. This advisory remains in effect until sample results are returned (24-48 hours) and when further written notification is issued.

TODAY’S DATE: 7/10/2026

Potable water served by the Pamlico County Water System has been restored to near capacity. Samples collected from multiple locations within the system have been analyzed in a State Certified Laboratory and found to be free of coliform bacteria.

Based on these results, the continued presence of adequate disinfectant residuals, and the maintenance of consistent pressure throughout the system, the SYSTEM PRESSURE ADVISORY is RESCINDED, effective immediately.
The areas affected include: RESIDENTS AT THE END OF MINNESOTT BEACH RD, THIS INCLUDES THE MINNESOTT BEACH FERRY.
Residents, businesses and industries served by this system are urged to continue to manage their water usage and consumption and report any leaks or problems to the Pamlico County Water System.

Minnesott Beach Rd. The water consumers of Pamlico County Water System are experiencing periods of low pressure and outages in the distribution system on Thursday July 9, 2026, due to water line hit by surveyor. Water department staff are aware and are working diligently to get this fixed.
RESIDENTS AT THE END OF MINNESOTT BEACH RD, THIS INCLUDES THE MINNESOTT BEACH FERRY.
Therefore, the Pamlico County Water Department advises that when water is restored consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice and washing hands) or use bottled water.
Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
This office is strongly urging the water consumers to conserve water whenever possible. This advisory remains in effect until sample results are returned (24-48 hours) and when further written notification is issued.
