Southern University Law Center

Southern University Law Center We have been successful in training more than 4,000 lawyers who have made their mark in all areas of the legal profession.

As a HBCU institution founded in 1946 with a glorious history tied to the civil rights struggle dating back to the 1950s, we are proud to note that our graduates are still in the forefront of cutting-edge legal battles. Our diverse alumni serve in large and small law firms, public interest law organizations, and are leaders in local, state, and national government. They attribute their success to the legal education they received at the Southern University Law Center.

Miles Santiago recently completed a judicial internship with Judge Erin Wilder-Doomes at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.

Through this opportunity, he gained firsthand insight into the early stages of the federal judicial process, from initial appearances and bond hearings to arraignments and other pretrial matters.

We are proud to see Miles gaining valuable experience and wish him continued success in his legal career!
