The Basehor Police Department is proud to announce our participation in the Blue Envelope Program!

The Blue Envelope Program is a first responder awareness initiative designed to help improve communication and understanding between law enforcement and individuals with autism, disabilities, or other conditions that may affect communication or behavior during an emergency or traffic stop. The blue envelope serves as a visual cue to officers during traffic stops and can be used to present documents.

Our goal is simple: to build stronger connections with our community and help ensure every interaction is approached with patience, understanding, and respect.

Participation in the Blue Envelope Program is completely voluntary. If you or a loved one would benefit from participating, please stop by the Basehor Police Department at 14610 Parallel Rd to receive your FREE Blue Envelope and sticker.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with family, friends, and members of our community who may benefit from the program.
