Yesterday, Linsi Luckett was a presenting speaker at Holloway’s Soils in Action Field Day & Tradeshow, sharing how thermal and multispectral imaging can help detect soil issues that negatively impact grapevines before symptoms are visible to the human eye. Sunridge is proud to share our knowledge and innovative tools that support vineyard health and management.

Last week, Horticulturist Linsi Luckett and Assistant Agronomist Pedro Trigueros represented Sunridge Nurseries at Bakersfield College’s Agriculture Career Expo & Manufacturing Day. Linsi was also given the opportunity to speak about her academic journey, experience as a PCA, share some of her research trials in the field and drone technology. Her presentation offered students a firsthand look at the diverse responsibilities and opportunities within modern agriculture.

We’re proud to take part in events like these and help demonstrate the many paths a career in agriculture can take!

This week, Sunridge Nurseries was excited to participate at Fruit Attraction in Madrid. One of the largest shows of its kind, it was a great opportunity to meet many of our international growers all in one spot!

Our longtime partners and friends at Grapa Global welcomed us to their stand to join in on meetings & conversations throughout the show. Grapa also introduced, tiqi™ their exciting new product designed to revolutionize the grape-eating experience.

Sunridge Nurseries appreciates the chance to work with growers across the globe & all the effort that goes into getting fresh fruit on our tables.

This vineyard is the result of family passion, hard work and persistence.

From clearing the forest, pounding the trellis, planting the vines and protecting them from deer, every step has been a labor of love.

Blizzard Vineyard is coming to life in Oregon, with the majority of the vines expected to be trained in 2027 and the first crop anticipated in 2028.

Yesterday, we welcomed back a new group of students from Bakersfield College’s Intro to Viticulture class for a behind-the-scenes look at grapevine production. Even in our off-season, there was plenty to see and learn about our main production processes and the students even got to try their hand at grafting. To end the tour everyone was gifted a table grape vine of their own to grow! We truly enjoy helping bring viticulture education to life with hands on industry experience.

It was a busy morning at the Roserock Open House Rootstock Trial in Eola-Amity!

As the vines continue to mature, the data being collected by Patty Skinkis and her team will provide valuable insights for future vineyard decisions.
The quality farming and care provided by Results Partners Vineyard Management has also been critical establishing this young block and ensuring the trial reaches its full potential.

Yesterday, Sunridge Nurseries was excited to host our table grape breeding partner, Grapa Global, along with a group of table grape and raisin growers from Uzbekistan.

The day included discussions on vine production, rootstock selection and vineyard planning, followed by a tour of our nursery demonstrating the detail and care that go into making quality vines. We wrapped up with a Q&A over lunch before the group moved on to see some table grape production.

We’re always excited to connect with growers from around the world and explore new opportunities to bring Sunridge quality vines to new markets.

We recently had the opportunity to host a fruit showing from the exclusive Andriske Research breeding program showcasing several promising table grape selections. The event, organized and led by James Rawlins, brought together growers, industry partners, and our team to taste, evaluate, and share insights on the next generation of varieties. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re excited to see where these selections take the industry.

Medium sized vines of Pinot Gris & Pinot Noir (Dijon 777) are being established & trained at Stoller W**ery’s Evergreen Vineyard in McMinnville, OR. The taller vine structure is expected to help reduce costs of removing trunk suckers in the future – a thoughtful approach to long term vineyard efficiency.
