🎉 Another housing journey worth celebrating!

Glimmer Austin partner Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center is celebrating Leonardo, who has achieved secure housing after facing many barriers along the way.

Through Sunrise’s Wayfinder program and Leonardo’s determination, he is now ready for his next chapter—including getting back to work as a flight attendant.

September is Hunger Action Month, and Glimmer Austin celebrates our partner Keep Austin Fed for reaching an incredible milestone: rescuing and redistributing 10 million pounds of surplus food since becoming a nonprofit in 2014.

That’s the equivalent of more than 8.5 million meals, helping feed neighbors experiencing food insecurity while keeping surplus food out of landfills.

Congratulations to Keep Austin Fed and its network of more than 100 community partners and 125 food contributors for making a meaningful impact across the Austin community.

🚿 More than a shower—it’s dignity, care, and access to basic needs.

Mission Accomplished is continuing its mission to serve our unhoused neighbors with a new 8-stall mobile shower trailer, making showers and essential hygiene services more readily available in downtown Austin.

Thanks to a partnership between A Glimmer of Hope Austin, JP's Peace, Love & Happiness Foundation , and Shepherd 5 Points, and Mission Accomplished, this new resource will help Mission Accomplished continue meeting people where they are and providing services that restore dignity and connection.

At Glimmer Austin, we’re proud to support Mission Accomplished and their commitment to addressing critical needs in our community through compassionate, direct service.
