APF is excited to welcome a new class of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School interns!

Through Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study (CWS) program, students are prepared for professional environments by emphasizing personal growth, business etiquette, and essential office skills.

We were proud to have members of the City of Atlanta Police Department join us for Draft Day to show their support and welcome this year’s interns.

Through mentorship, hands-on experiences, and exposure to public safety initiatives, our interns have the opportunity to grow their skills and explore their interests!

As Mayor Andre Dickens said, "You've stepped up. You've delivered. You've met that expectation and exceeded that expectation."

When the world came to Atlanta (City of Atlanta Government) for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the City of Atlanta Police Department did exactly that.

Protecting and serving our city is never easy. Yet throughout one of the world's largest sporting events, APD officers and public safety professionals met the moment with professionalism, dedication, and excellence.

Thank you for keeping Atlanta safe, welcoming, and ready to shine on the global stage. We are proud to support the men and women who serve our city every day.

APLI Senior Social 💙

Today, the Atlanta Police Leadership Institute welcomed more than 70 senior residents for our inaugural Senior Social at the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center. It was a day dedicated to building connections, sharing valuable safety resources, and strengthening partnerships throughout our community.

Guests heard from our public safety partners, Georgia Power, the Atlanta BeltLine, and other local organizations, while connecting with officers and learning about programs designed to help keep our seniors safe and informed.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all of our partners who helped make this first Senior Social a tremendous success. We can't wait to do it again!

Suspect Arrested: A Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta (CSGA) tip over the July Fourth weekend helped law enforcement locate and arrest convicted Tier-3 s*x offender and fugitive Gary Diggs.

CSGA and the City of Atlanta Police Department received a tip and quickly coordinated with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshals task force, and local law enforcement partners in Louisiana. That collaboration led to Diggs’ arrest over the holiday weekend, successfully concluding the search that began after he absconded mid-trial in early June and underscoring the continued value of Crime Stoppers as a trusted public safety tool.
