Republican legislators must be stopped from ruining our Ohio public lands. Check this out and act today!
Here’s a call to action from Save Ohio Parks. They need volunteers to make call to Ohio legislators today and tomorrow (5/18 & 5/19). You can copy and paste the links into your browser.
Three bad bills are moving through the Ohio Statehouse right now. And if we don't show up this week, they're going to pass.
Save Ohio Parks is hosting two phone bank sessions on Monday and Tuesday to reach the offices of legislators.

Here's what we're fighting:
HB 170 would create a framework for carbon capture and underground CO2 storage in Ohio. It strips landowner rights, lets developers off the hook for long-term liability, and sticks taxpayers with decades of monitoring and cleanup costs. It passed the House. Now it's in the Senate.
SB 294 would direct the Ohio Power Siting Board to shut out solar and wind energy while boosting oil, gas, and nuclear. It's sitting in the Senate Energy Committee right now.
SB 219 would fast-track fracking on Ohio's state parks and public lands and hand a long list of favors to the oil and gas industry. It already passed the Senate. The House Natural Resources Committee is the last stop.
When you join, we give you phone numbers, a short script, and talking points for each bill. You hop on Zoom, go on mute, and make your calls at your own pace. Most people are done in under an hour.
Committee members pay attention when constituents call. A few dozen calls this week can genuinely move the needle. We need you there.
