Today, our crews completed their Emergency Vehicle Operator Course and recertification!

At Steuben County EMS, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of patient care possible. But that commitment starts long before we reach the patient. We also take great pride in ensuring our crews can safely navigate the roads and arrive on scene as safely as possible.

Our responsibility doesn't stop at patient care. It includes protecting our crews, our patients, and everyone else sharing the road with us.

This past week, our Chief of Operations attended the Dive Medicine Specialist Course instructed by Dive Rescue International.

This specialized training provides our team with a deeper understanding of dive-related emergencies and the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and treat these patients more effectively.

The benefits of this training extend beyond our EMS operations. It also strengthens our partnership with the Steuben County Underwater Rescue & Recovery Team, providing valuable medical knowledge that can be applied during team training as well as real-world callouts.

No matter who our patient is or what circumstances we encounter, our goal remains simple: provide the best care possible through the most current techniques, education, and equipment.

Training never stops. We continue to learn, improve, and prepare to serve our community when it matters most.
