1). Steuben STEM Academy

Week 1: July 13-17 (Students Entering Grades 1-4)
Week 2: July 20-24 (Students Entering Grades 5-8)
Week 3: July 27-July 31 (Students Entering Grades 1-4)
Camp held from 8 am-Noon, Monday-Friday at Selman Pavilion at Commons Park (rain or shine). Camp is limited to 30 participants per week.
Camp is funded by the Steuben County Literacy Coalition’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant.
2). Steuben’s Got Drama

All students entering grades 1-8 will attend camp together, July 6-17 (no camp on July 10th).
Camp will be held from 8:30 am-12:30 pm daily, with the exception of the final day, July 17th. On July 17th, camp will be 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
Students will bring lunch on July 17th ONLY! Snacks are prohibited in the auditorium.
Student performance is open to the public and will be held at 3 pm on July 17th.
Camp will be held at the Steuben County Community Center Auditorium.
Camp is funded by the Steuben County Literacy Coalition’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant.
3). Artsy Camp

Week 1: June 15-19 (Grades 1-4) WAITLIST ONLY
Week 2: June 22-26 (Grades 5-8)
Week 3: July 6-10 (Grades 1-4)
Camp will be held from 1-4 pm, Monday-Friday at Fremont Public Library. Camp is limited to 20 participants per week.
Artsy Camp is an academic enrichment summer camp funded by a Steuben County Community Foundation grant for students in grades 1– 8. The program will operate for 3 weeks during the summer of 2026. Students will have the opportunity to engage in an exciting enrichment opportunities exploring the arts through various mediums.

Hendry Park BASE Camp celebrated our last day of BASE with popsicles on the playground! We spent all day making memories and celebrating the start of Summer Break!

Hendry Park BASE Camp had a lot of fun learning about attention, memory, and perspective! We made a BASE Camp memory game with all our students and played the ‘what walked’ game to learn about active and working memory.

Metropolitan School District of Steuben County
The Steuben County Literacy Coalition will again be providing BASE CAMP for the 2026-2027 school year for all MSD students in grades K-8!
FREE programming is offered after school, Monday-Thursday, when school is in session, until 6 pm. Students will receive a snack, homework help, academic enrichment activities, and bus transportation home (for students who live within district lines).

FREE programming is also available before school, beginning at 6:30 am, Monday-Friday. Program is held at Angola Middle School and students are bussed to all MSD schools.

Fremont Community Schools
The Steuben County Literacy Coalition will be providing BASE CAMP
For Grades K-8 for the 2026-2027 school year for Fremont Community School!
MONDAY-THURSDAY UNTIL 6 PM
Due to funding changes, the program will now be offered to families at a rate of $40/week (billed monthly). Fees must be paid on the last day of the month prior to your child attending to secure/maintain your child’s spot. No refunds will be made if a student does not attend. At this time, we cannot offer discounts for
siblings. Refunds will be offered for school cancellation days. No charge for school vacations. Bus transportation is not available after the program. Snacks, homework help and academic enrichment programs will be provided daily.

Hendry Park BASE Camp had a visit from Blue Heron! Students learned about chemical and behavioral defensive mechanisms and some interesting facts about the native species around us. We were able to touch and learn about different animal skulls, turtle shells, feathers, and acorns, and completed a match the sound to the animal game! We love learning about the plants and animals that live around us! Thank you Blue Heron!
