CSC's mission is to be a community leader, providing vital services with collaborative partners to empower the people of Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties and the surrounding areas to positively transform lives. We offer a comprehensive array of services in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties, which focus on essential day-to-day survival, such as food and housing, as well as opportunities to develop new skills that lead to independence through education, training, and work. Whether you need help keeping the heat on for today or want help planning for that career of tomorrow, CSC is here to help. We believe that every family should have access to a stable home, nutritious food, quality education and training, and a job that pays a family wage. But we also realize that those things can be hard to get without some help along the way. We want to work with you, as a partner, to achieve your goal of a better life for you and your family. Today, we join communities across Oregon in celebrating Weatherization Day. Governor Tina Kotek has officially proclaimed October 30, 2026, as Weatherization Day in Oregon, recognizing the vital role weatherization programs play in improving home safety, reducing energy costs, and helping Oregonians stay healthy and comfortable in their homes.

Weatherization helps households reduce energy costs, improve home safety, and stay comfortable through every season. From insulation and air sealing to heating system repairs and replacements, these improvements can make a meaningful difference for families, older adults, and individuals living on limited incomes.

In 2025, CSC invested more than $2.1 million in energy-related home improvements and provided weatherization and no-heat services to 93 households across Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties.

We're proud to recognize our Weatherization team and the partners who help make this work possible. Their expertise, dedication, and behind-the-scenes efforts help ensure local households have access to safer, healthier, and more energy-efficient homes.

As we prepare for a new school year, we're inviting our community to help create welcoming spaces where children can learn and play.

Help us prepare our Head Start centers with safe playgrounds, manicured lawns, trimmed trees, clear walkways, and inviting outdoor spaces.

Because our program funding has limited resources for landscaping, we're asking caring community members to donate their time.

Locations include Newport, Lincoln City, and Toledo.

Volunteers should bring their own mowers, pruners, and other equipment.
