Downtown Albany’s hanging flower baskets have been glorious all summer—but now it’s time to bring them down, and we could use a few extra hands!

🔥 From hot iron to hot coffee. ☕️

Welcome Blacksmith Coffee Co. to beautiful Historic Downtown Albany — and yes, the name fits the building perfectly! Their new home at 456 2nd Avenue SW was originally built as a blacksmith shop and served Albany in that role for decades.

More than a century later, there’s a different kind of craft happening inside these walls. The forge has gone quiet, the coffee is brewing, and one of Downtown Albany’s historic buildings is alive with business once again.

And when you visit, look closely at the brick wall outside. You can still find the old iron rings where horses were tethered while they waited to be shod. 🐴🔨 A little piece of Albany history still sitting right there in plain sight.

Come downtown, grab a cup, find the rings, and help us welcome Blacksmith Coffee Co. to the neighborhood. Old building. New business. Same Downtown spirit. ❤️

First Friday in Historic Downtown Albany is a wonderful excuse to linger a little longer!

🎨 Gallery Calapooia is preparing a colorful new show featuring artists Marilyn Lindsley and Marjorie Kinch. Enjoy a vibrant display of flowers created in polymer clay and watercolor.

🏛️ From 5–7 p.m., Albany Regional Museum will offer free admission to all exhibits, including its brand-new exhibition, Carving a Legacy: The Art of Robert Ferguson.

🍦 The Natty Dresser will be celebrating from 5–7 p.m. with cool summer vibes, patriotic music and ice cream. All straw hats and short-sleeve summer shirts will be 25% off.

🍽️ Make an evening of it! Enjoy smoked prime rib at Loafer’s Station, a refreshing cocktail at Sweet Red, an unforgettable dessert at Sybaris—or explore any of Downtown Albany’s other wonderful eateries.

Something new is brewing in Downtown Albany.

Blacksmith Coffee Co. is opening soon at 456 SW 2nd Avenue, bringing amazing coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, and fresh baked goods made right in-house.

This warm, beautifully restored space—featuring original exposed brick ( look for the historic iron rings once used to tether horses while they were being shod!) glowing lamps, and comfortable corners—is being created as a place to gather, linger, and enjoy something genuinely good.

Blacksmith Coffee Co. is proudly woman-owned, and we’re delighted to welcome it to Downtown Albany. Watch for opening details soon!

Chrome, classics, customs, and downtown charm! 🚗✨
Today’s the final day of Kraze Daze, and parking lot on the corner of 1st and Ferry in Historic Downtown Albany is full of incredible vintage cars. Add to that the Albany Saturday Market, amazing local shops, delicious food at downtown restaurants, and sidewalk bargains and you have the perfect Saturday! It’s a great day to stroll, shop, eat, and admire some beautiful rides.
