📌 Legacy Lakes Community Information Bulletin

Over the past two days, officers have responded to the Legacy Lakes community regarding reports of a suspicious individual wearing a backpack, walking around residential homes and potentially attempting to look through windows.

In both instances officers responded promptly, located the individual, and detained him. He has been identified, and searches of his belongings have been done. At this time, no stolen property, burglary tools, or other evidence of criminal activity has been found.

Due to the current lack of physical evidence or witnesses to a crime, charges have not been filed. However, this behavior is being taken seriously. Detailed reports have been completed, and officers have increased patrols throughout the community, which will continue through the weekend.

As of today, Legacy Lakes staff has issued a trespass notice banning this individual from entering Legacy Lakes private properties, including amenities such as the clubhouse, but does not extend to residential properties. This restriction does not apply to public roadways within the community, which remain accessible.

Residents are urged to remain alert and take an active role in community safety. If you observe any suspicious behavior, do not hesitate—contact 911 immediately so officers can respond in real time.

This bulletin is being shared to ensure residents are informed, as we are unable to post directly to the community’s page/forum. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and take appropriate action as needed.

‼️Congratulations to Patrol Captain Davis‼️

Chief Chavis, along with the entire Aberdeen Police Department staff, would like to congratulate Captain Davis on successfully completing the Specialized Fi****ms Instructor Course! 👏🔫

This is no small accomplishment. The course requires participants to already be certified instructors, maintain CPR certification, and pass a demanding pre-qualification shooting standard (92%—day and night).

Throughout the training over the course of several weeks, Captain Davis demonstrated the knowledge, skill, and dedication needed to:

• Conduct Commission-approved fi****ms qualifications
• Design and lead law enforcement combat shooting courses
• Teach handgun, shotgun, & patrol rifle fundamentals
• Safely manage and supervise fi****ms ranges
• Handle range operations, emergency procedures, & medical response
• Develop lesson plans and effectively train and evaluate officers

This certification reflects a high level of professionalism and commitment to excellence in training and officer safety. We’re proud to have Captain Davis continuing to lead from the front.

We’re somehow almost halfway through 2026 and let us just say, time flies when y’all are solving cases for us.😅

But seriously — THANK YOU. Every time we post a “can you help us identify…” y’all turn into full-blown detectives. At nearly half way through the year, we’re sitting at an 80% success rate thanks to Facebook… aka y’all 👀

And that less-than-1-hour ID that you just made? Yeah… that was just showing off.

We appreciate the help more than you know — turns out the real investigators were our followers all along 🔍😂 … just... remind us not to make y’all mad 😳

Happy June 1st, everyone! ☀️

Somehow we blinked and May is gone… and we’re rapidly approaching that special time of year we all dread (we mean totally look forward to… 😅) — when the kids are out of school full-time.

Traffic’s about to get interesting, grocery store trips will become tactical missions, and “I’m bored” will become the song of the summer.

Yeah — if you thought it was busy around town before… just wait. It’s about to feel like a parade, a field trip, and rush hour all teamed up at the exact same time. 🚗💨
